Lifeline Inflatable Services was founded in 1991 by Glenn Gillette who has over 25 years of experience in the marine inflatable industry. He started out as a technician for a inflatable liferaft service station. At this time inflatable boats were not that popular in the United States, and there were virtually no facilities to service inflatable boats. The inflatable boat manufacturers and customers were sending the inflatable boats to liferaft service stations, because they were familiar with the repairs, pressure testing, and had controlled environments in which to do the work.

Glenn saw the need for a full service inflatable boat station and in 1991 opened Lifeline Inflatable Services Inc. in small facility near the Miami River. There, we did sales and service for inflatable boats, liferafts, and marine safety equipment. To accommodate the growing business of inflatable boats and liferafts in South Florida, in 1998 we moved to North Miami to a much larger facility located in the Golden Glades Interchange, serving both North Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. In 1999 Lifeline began offering outboard motors and became a full-line Yamaha dealer.

Our liferaft facility has been approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, DNV (Det Norske Veritas), and major liferaft manufacturers. Our service department is certified to repair all major inflatable boats and Yamaha Outboards. Our sales department carries the largest variety of inflatable boats and liferafts in South Florida.

Lifeline is also a member of the United States Marine Safety Association.
